Changan Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd. is recalling some domestic Mazda CX-50 vehicles

A few days ago, Changan Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products. From now on, some domestic Mazda CX-50 vehicles produced between February 15, 2023 and September 7, 2023 will be recalled, totaling 9,510 vehicles.

For some vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to improper control procedures of the vehicle control system (VCM), during the driving process of the vehicle, when there are objects such as inclined walls next to the road, the intelligent driving assistance system will erroneously detect, resulting in a prompt message or tone when the vehicle is not at risk of collision, which in extreme cases causes the vehicle to brake incorrectly, posing a safety hazard.

Changan Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd. will upgrade the VCM control program free of charge for vehicles within the scope of the recall through authorized dealers to eliminate safety hazards.
