Russian woman’s sudden death in China train continued: biological samples have been sent to Moscow.
Biological samples collected from the dead China woman’s body on the "Blagoveshchensk-Moscow" train, as well as laboratory analysis data in the carriage, have arrived in Moscow.
Onishchenko, director of the Russian Consumer Rights Protection and Public Welfare Supervision Bureau and chief epidemic prevention physician of the Russian Federation, made the above statement on Thursday, according to the Russian new network news.
He said that the inspection will be conducted simultaneously in two specialized laboratories of the Ministry of Health and one laboratory of the Ministry of National Defense.
He pointed out that due to the death of a woman in China on the train, the health department started the traditional epidemic prevention emergency mechanism.
On the morning of April 15th, a 24-year-old Russian woman died unexpectedly while riding a long-distance train from the Russian Far East city of Blagoveshchensk to Moscow. Fifty-one Russian migrant workers and two Russian train attendants were sent to the local infectious disease hospital for isolation observation when the train stopped at the Kirov station. It is reported that the final destination of these China migrant workers is Kaluga.
This incident has attracted great attention from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China. On April 16th, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu said at a regular press conference that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attached great importance to the situation that "a Russian woman may have died of pneumonia while taking a train in China".
